a midweek breather

Happy Wednesday!

It actually got chilly here in FL which my husband is very excited about. I’m not as much of a fan but at least I finally got to pull out some of my sweaters ;).

We had a busy weekend with a couple of social gatherings + Stephen went into work Saturday. I’m not as rested as I would like but I’m hoping this week will be chill. It’s also been fairly gloomy but I’m taking advantage and lighting candles every day to help lift my spirits—and drinking lots of cozy beverages!!! I hope your week is full of all the coziness + merrymaking as we approach Thanksgiving!

What’s been resonating with me lately:

  • preparation is your tired self’s best friend
  • “be good to yourself, you are not your own”
  • allow others to walk their own journey
  • if you want to change, rebrand yourself as someone who does or doesn’t do [fill in the blank]
  • Humor is an excellent antidote for things that annoy you

Where I’ve been finding encouragement:

  • this article about rediscovering wonder was beautiful, and included one of my favorite quotes from G.K. Chesterton
  • I will include moonflower monologues again this week because it really has been so nourishing
  • ballerina farm’s instagram! love her big, beautiful family life—so inspiring
  • my husband, who always helps me keep my chin up when I get discouraged

Things I’m excited about:

  • I received these prints as an early birthday gift and just think they’re so pretty
  • Monica is walking!!!
  • found an apron I absolutely love
  • this barre video is a nice way to start your day
  • two year anniversary coming up next week 🙂
  • Thanksgiving!!!
