Two weeks off. It was glorious. Just to spend time together with family we don’t get to see very often was such a gift. We didn’t go anywhere too exciting (although we did do one day at Busch Gardens which was a blast), but it didn’t matter. I actually love traveling with Stephen, I think it’s a great microcosm of marriage: working together toward a goal and going on an adventure.
Now it’s back to reality, and with deployment creeping up sooner every day, it’s not the most pleasant one. But. I have made a commitment not to complain about it this time around and just make the most of the time we get together. We’ll see how that goes. All that being said, here’s what has been going on with me recently:

What has been resonating with me recently:
- being a parent doesn’t mean you stop having fun or pursuing your goals
- as a mother/wife, you are the queen of your household and you set the tone for the rest of the family
- discipline = freedom
- the more we listen to the Holy Spirit, the more He tells us
- a “hot mess mom” is not the ideal
Where I’ve been finding encouragement:
- this podcast about budgeting, decluttering, and home management was pure gold.
- Fr Gregory Pine really inspired me with this mini-podcast episode. It gave me lots to think about.
- I’ve been reading & loving These Beautiful Bones. Some very timely + practical wisdom in a short read.
- Tatjana Maria (who had her second baby a year ago) made it to the Wimbledon semi-finals!!!

- I’ve been working more on my photography and really enjoying the process.
- I discovered and made my first purchase from Mission Collaborative—her mission and clothes are beautiful.
- I’m putting together a 30-day challenge to do while Stephen is gone (something other than his absence to focus on)—details to come.
That’s all for me today, would love to hear where you are finding encouragement/inspiration/excitement!
In all sincerity,
Miranda
