A midweek breather

Halfway through the week.

Stephen has a four day weekend coming up so, for us, today is actually Thursday. (That’s what I keep telling myself when I start to feel overwhelmed).

His schedule unexpectedly changed this week so we had a random morning together yesterday which was quite nice. Of course, as per usual, there’s a price to pay, and that price is very long days for him (6AM-8PM) today and tomorrow.

But we’re making it.

Here’s what has been resonating with me recently:

  • babies and dreams (Leah Darrow has a lot to say about this)
  • being resourceful is one of the best skills you can develop
  • having fresh fruit and vegetables that are already cut up is a lifesaver
  • discerning discerning discerning: when to say ‘yes’ and when to say ‘no’

Content I’ve been loving:

  • this episode of the Jen Fulwiler Show was fire
  • this Instagram account for home-making, and she just launched her website!
  • more gems about healthy living from this Instagram account
  • Scripture + the Magnificat reflections
  • Lord of the Rings!!!!
  • this Insta account for military family inspiration

What I’m looking forward to:

  • four days off!!!
  • re-painting main living spaces: looking at this and this as color options
  • my glass of wine this evening
  • the walking path in the park close to our house is done!!!

What’s on your mind this week? Here’s a question: do you get ready most mornings (aka outfit, hair, makeup) or not? Do you think this matters?

Thanks for being here.

Miranda
