What a tragic week. The massacre in Texas has shaken all of us, and that is a good thing. What happens to others, including the senseless heartbreak, should affect us. Empathy and compassion are what keep us connected.
Keep praying.
Tomorrow we’re heading to Beaufort to meet up with my family. Sadly Stephen has duty on Sunday, but at least we’ll get a few days with family in a beautiful town. Military life!!!
Here’s what has been resonating with me this week:
- Getting dressed and put together in the morning (including make up if that’s what you like!) is a positive thing
- A life without interruptions is sterile
- Setting aside time for your marriage is a must
- So is finding an outlet for your creative genius

Currently working on:
- Standing up straight
- Having dinner made a little earlier
- 31 days of no ‘fun’ purchases
- Painting my nails more often
What I’ve been listening to:
- This Godsplaining episode about Pier Giorgio Frassati
- Happy Pills from Jen Fulwiler
- A Holistic Approach To Building Strength
Where I’ve been finding encouragement/inspiration:
- Tina the Life Coach
- This Instagram account
- Jen Fulwiler (see podcast episode above)
I hope you have a happy Memorial Day.
